WHAT IS INCLUDED?

• Complete 4-hour workshop from concept to 20in x20in creation : rug or mural piece

• All supplies needed to create your piece: wool, tufting base, finishing fabric, glue, etc.

• Loan of all tufting tools like tufting gun, scissors, working frame, etc.

• The workshop time does not include the backing finish of your piece. It will be finished by Gautier Studio and may be picked up 7 days following your workshop date.  Final pieces may also be shipped for a fee.

• Presentation of the materials needed for tufting and finishing

Creating an efficient workspace

Types of wool and colours

• Basic and fundamental techniques

• PRACTICAL: drawing your carpet design on canvas and tufting

Defining lines and shapes

• PRACTICAL: Gluing the carpet – Gluing the finishing fabric

PRACTICAL: Finishing: shaving, cutting, cleaning the fibers
